MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050893 A) filed by Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aichi, Japan, on May 27, for 'display control device.'
Inventor(s) include Higuchi Sawa; and Araki Ryotarou.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a display control device capable of preventing the driver of the driver's own vehicle from having doubts as to whether the acceleration or deceleration of the own vehicle is being properly performed during the execution of automatic travel control. The display control device (10) displays an image of a target speed range on the display device 30 of the own vehicle (100) during the execution of traveling speed control that automatically accelerates or decelerates the own vehicle so that the traveling speed of the own vehicle is maintained to a speed within the target speed range, or displays an image of a target distance range on the display device during the execution of inter-vehicle distance control that automatically accelerates or decelerates the own vehicle so that the inter-vehicle distance, that is the distance between the own vehicle and a nearby vehicle (200) that is a vehicle around the own vehicle and is traveling in the same direction as the own vehicle, becomes a distance within the target distance range."
