MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414087273 A) filed by Lg Display Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 12, 2024, for 'display device.'
Inventor(s) include Jo, Jung Geun; Shin, Hong Seop; Seo, Woong Jin; and Yoon, Soo Young.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a display device (100) including a first area (S1) and a second area (S2) adjacent to the first area (S1), a first pixel (SP2) in the first area (S1), and a second pixel (SP3) in the second area (S2), wherein first pixel (SP2) includes at least one second emission area (EA2), and wherein the second pixel (SP3) includes at least one first emission area (EA1) and at least one second emission area (EA2). The first emission area (EA1) has a half-spherical lens (232) disposed therein, and the second emission area (EA2) has a half-cylindrical lens (234) disposed therein. Thus, the second area (S2) is configured such that a viewing angle control function is activated."
