MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414090475 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 21, 2024, for 'display device.'

Inventor(s) include Juchan Park; Yoomin Ko; Sunho Kim; Hyewon Kim; Yerim Son; Pilsuk Lee; Chung Sock Choi; and Sungjin Hong.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device (DD) includes a base layer (BS), a driving element layer (DDL) including a transistor (TR), insulating layers (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60), and a driving connection part (CD) electrically connected to the transistor (TR), a light emitting element layer (LDL) including a pixel defining layer (PDL) in which a light emitting opening (OP-PDL) and a through-hole that does not overlap the light emitting opening (OP-PDL) are defined, a light emitting element (LD) located in the light emitting opening (OP-PDL), and a separator (SPR) located on the pixel defining layer (PDL), and a conductive pattern (CP) located below the separator (SPR) and including a contact part (CP-H) in the through-hole, and an extension part (CP-F) connected to the contact part (CP-H) and located on a top surface of the pixel defining layer (PDL). The light emitting element (LD) includes an anode (EL1) on the driving element layer (DDL), an intermediate layer (IML) on the anode (EL1), and a cathode (EL2) on the intermediate layer (IML), and the contact part (CP-H) is electrically connected to the driving connection part (CD)."
