MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514035097 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 10, for 'display device and method of manufacturing the same.'
Inventor(s) include Jonghyun Yun; Hyunwoo Kang; Dae-Gi Kweon; Junyoung Kim; Jina Park; Yongho Yang; Kyung-Min Lee; and Chang-Ho Jeong.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device (DDa) includes a substrate (SUB) including an auxiliary pixel 5 area (SPX1, SPX2, SPX3, SPX4), and a transmitting area (TA) spaced from the auxiliary pixel area (SPX1, SPX2, SPX3, SPX4), a driving element (TR) above the substrate (SUB), an insulating layer above the driving element (TR), an electrode in the auxiliary pixel area (SPX1, SPX2, SPX3, SPX4), above the insulating layer, and electrically connected to the driving element (TR), and a pixel-defining layer (PDL) above the 10 insulating layer, defining an opening (OP) in the auxiliary pixel area (SPX1, SPX2, SPX3, SPX4), defining a transmitting part (TU) in the transmitting area (TA), and defining a second cutout portion (COF2) spaced from the auxiliary pixel area (SPX1, SPX2, SPX3, SPX4) and the transmitting area (TA) in plan view."
