MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517005102 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Jan. 22, for 'display device including multiple driver ics, modular display device, and control method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The display device of a modular display device including multiple display devices comprises a communication interface and multiple driver ICs, wherein: a first driver IC among the multiple driver ICs transmits, when a first signal transmitted by an external device is received through the communication interface, the first signal to a second driver IC adjacent to the first driver IC so that the first signal is sequentially transmitted to remaining driver ICs among the multiple driver ICs connected in a daisy-chain manner; and each of the first driver IC and the second driver IC transmits a second signal transmitted by the external device to a first other display device connected to the display device among the multiple display devices."
