MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517013721 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 18, for 'display module comprising plurality of scan groups, modular display device, and method for controlling same.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular display device is disclosed. The modular display device comprises a plurality of display modules, and a controller for controlling the plurality of display modules, wherein each of the plurality of display modules comprises a plurality of scan groups, the controller transmits image signals corresponding to the respective display modules, on the basis of an image frame, and each of the plurality of scan groups included in a first display module among the plurality of display modules comprises: a plurality of scan lines arranged in one direction; a plurality of data lines arranged in a direction perpendicular to the plurality of scan lines; an LED generated at an intersection area of a scan line and a data line; and at least one driver IC which provides, via a progressive scanning method, a scan signal to the plurality of scan lines during a time period corresponding to the image frame, and which provides an image signal to a data line corresponding to a scan line provided with the scan signal. The plurality of scan groups included in the first display module are connected in a daisy chain."
