MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020785 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'dog sledding assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dog sledding assistive device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 positioned on a snow surface and installed with an L-shaped platform 2 dedicated to accommodate a user, plurality of neck wearable units 3 that are accommodated around dogs for allowing dogs to pull the frame 1 on the snow surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting user's height, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 5 to extend/retract for allowing user to comfortable grip a pair of handles 6 as means of support, a pair of extendable rectangular members 7 via a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated links 8 allowing sliding of the frame 1 on the snow surface and a pair of motorized caterpillar wheels 10 to rotate for assisting the dogs in pulling the frame 1 via a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated bars 11 to rotate for assisting dogs in pulling the frame 1."
