MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079710 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'door lifting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Sajjan Singh; and Vinod Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A door lifting assistive device, comprises of a body 1 configured with a pair of plates 2 paired with each other via a pneumatic piston arrangement 5 positioned beneath a door to be lifted, a touch enabled screen 3 accessed by a user to enter details regarding height upto which door is to be lifted, a lever 4 paired with the piston arrangement 5 pulled by user for letting air enters within a cylinder via an inlet valve results in movement of plates 2 against each other required to lift the door, a pair of telescopically operated rods 6 to provide a support while lifting the door, an artificial intelligence based camera 7 to determine that user is facing a difficulty in operating the lever 4 and an electromagnetically powered spring 8 as means of pressing/pulling the lever 4 in an automated manner."
