MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012983 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'dry grass collection and bundling device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dry grass collection and bundling device, comprising a platform 1 configured with plurality of wheels 4 maneuvering the platform 1 on a ground surface, a touch screen 2 installed on the housing enabling user's input commands, a camera 3 mounted on the platform 1 detecting presence of dry grass on the surface, a cylindrical member 5 installed with the platform 1 via a pair of rods 6 equipped with multiple pneumatic pins 7 for collecting and positioning the grass over a conveyer 8 installed with the platform 1, a bar 9 installed on the platform 1 configured with a blade 10 via a link 11 for cutting the grass, a rectangular member 13 attached with a plate 12 installed in continuation with conveyer 8 for compressing the grass and a pair of robotic arms 14 installed on platform 1 tying the grass."
