MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122200 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 4, 2025, for 'dual-layer image validation system for campus marketplace platform.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Suresh P; Aayush Agarwal; Aditya Kumar; and Puran Kumar Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a dual-layer image validation system for a marketplace platform. The system includes a first validation layer with a trained convolutional neural network model configured to perform binary classification on uploaded images to determine validity, and a second validation layer with a cloud-based vision application programming interface configured to perform semantic content analysis and category verification of images that pass the first validation layer. The system further includes an authentication module configured to restrict platform access to verified users, a cloud storage service configured to store validated images, a database configured to store product metadata and image references, and processing means configured to coordinate the dual-layer validation process. The convolutional neural network model processes images through the Node.js Backend which coordinates with the CNN Validator and Google Vision API to ensure comprehensive image authentication before storage."
