MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541127365 A) filed by Vks Textiles, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'dual zone woven fabric having alternating weave sections with performance-differentiated zones and the method of manufacturing the same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a dual zone woven fabric having alternating weave sections with performance differentiated zones and a method of manufacturing the same. The woven fabric comprises uniform warp yarn system extending continuously throughout the entire length of the fabric. A first zone 101 formed with first weft yarns using a first weave structure selected from the group consisting of: satin weave, twill weave, and basket weave . A second zone 102 formed using a second weave structure selected from the group consisting of percale weave, oxford weave, and plain weave. The first zone 101 and the second zone 102 exhibits performance characteristics including air permeability and moisture spreading speed which are different from each other. A transition zone 103 between the first zone 101 and second zone 102 are formed by controlled weft omission creating a seamless transition region 103."
