MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019361 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'dust collection assistive device for drilling operations.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sirazul Haq; and Dr. Pradeep Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dust collection assistive device for drilling operations comprising a hollow cuboidal body 1 configured with a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by user to input command for determining location over wall where body 1 is to be adhered, a camera 3 captures images of wall which is displayed over screen 2 for allowing user to select area, a laser projection unit 4 projects laser beam over area for guiding user to adhere body 1 on wall by means of suction cups 5, and user positions hose pipe of auxiliary vacuum cleaner in an opening 6 whose diameter is detected by a laser acuity sensor, a motorized iris lid 7 grips hose pipe, a speaker 8 notifies user to turn on vacuum cleaner, four extendable plates 9 hinged with body 1 which gets deployed and extended such that dust is collected within body 1 and withdrawn by vacuum cleaner."
