MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102321 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'edge temporal-signal processing system.'
Inventor(s) include Navdeep Singh; Dr. Sourabh Kumar; Dr. Navneet Khurana; and Soosan Chhabra.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An edge temporal-signal processing system, comprising a reconfigurable nonlinear processing unit 101 configured to perform analogue, time-domain feature extraction directly from raw input signals, an analogue in-memory computing chip 102 comprising memristive crossbar arrays to implement a neural network trained on the extracted features for signal classification, wherein the nonlinear processing unit 101 extracts salient temporal features such as envelope and spectral modulations from the raw input signals, and the analogue in-memory computing chip 102 performs energy-efficient vector-matrix multiplication for neural network inference, enabling real-time, low-latency classification of temporal signals at the edge without requiring digitization or external processing."
