MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441035068 A) filed by Nacl Industries Ltd, Hyderabad, Telangana, on May 3, 2024, for 'effective fungicidal combination for crop protection.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Navya Matcha; Venu Gopala Reddy Thummuru; and Dr. Alagasamy Kuppusamy.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a synergistic fungicidal composition comprising a combination of three active ingredients: boscalid, mancozeb, and trifloxystrobin. These actives, belonging respectively to the SDHI, dithiocarbamate, and strobilurin classes of fungicides, are formulated in specific proportions that exhibit enhanced fungicidal efficacy against a wide range of phytopathogenic fungi. The composition provides superior control of diseases such as blight, powdery mildew, and downy mildew and anthracnose in crops including chilli, tomato, grape, and cereals. The synergistic interaction among the components contributes to improved disease management and reduced risk of resistance development."
