MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341079791 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'efficient system-on-chip architecture for maintaining comfortable temperature at exterior touchpoints in vehicles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure relates to a method and a system for maintaining a comfortable temperature at exterior touchpoints in a vehicle. The method comprising receiving an input signal authenticated by a cloud server. Thereafter, the method comprising receiving temperature data of at least one exterior touchpoint from one or more temperature sensors of at least one exterior touchpoint apparatus upon receiving the input signal and determining whether the temperature data is between pre-defined threshold range values. The one or more temperature sensors are arranged in vicinity of or in contact with the at least one exterior touchpoint of the vehicle. Subsequently, the method comprising transmitting a trigger signal to the at least one exterior touchpoint apparatus in the vehicle to adjust temperature of the at least one exterior touchpoint when the temperature data of the at least one exterior touchpoint is not within the pre-defined threshold range values."
