MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011272 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'egg steaming device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An egg steaming device, characterizes an inverted U-shaped body 1 that fits securely over the periphery of an utensil via a pair of suction cups 2, a cuboidal frame 4 with extendable plates 5 accommodates the egg and prevents the eggs from falling, while a camera 8 captures multiple images to assess the dimensions of eggs, a communication module for wireless connectivity to a user-accessed computing unit, enabling the selection of desired steamed egg types, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 allows for adjustments, and iris pores 10 enable steam from the utensil to enter the frame 4 for a duration in case of hard steaming eggs, a motorized iris lid 11 for providing gentle steaming, as required, a RTC module integrated within microcontroller, accurately tracks time, and a speaker 12 alerts the user to retrieve the egg."
