MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011115 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'electric vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Jena, Rameswar; and Singh, Arvind Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides an electric vehicle (10) comprising a frame structure (16) supporting at least one battery (50); and a utility box (34) located between a handlebar (18) and a seat unit (32). The utility box (34) comprises a container (36) defining a first space (38) and a second space (40), a first lid member (42) pivotally connected to the container (36) and being adapted attain a first state restricting access to the first space (38) and the second space (40) and attain a second state providing access to the first space (38) and the second space (40), and a second lid member (44) held slidably with respect to the first lid member (42) to attain a third state restricting access to the second space (40) and attain a fourth state providing access to the second space (40); and a battery charger port (120) positioned in the second space (40)."
