MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103906 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Oct. 28, 2025, for 'electrical fire suppression system.'
Inventor(s) include Lovneesh Sharma; Namita Aggarwal; Dr. Sukhvir Kaur; Dr. Sudarshan Pal Singh; Dr. Abhishek Kanoungo; and Hemant Mahajan.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrical fire suppression system, comprising an enclosure 101 containing at least one electrical outlet, a sensing unit installed in the enclosure 101 detecting temperature in the enclosure 101, a detection module configured with a control unit, to determine an electrical fire and a risk of electrical fire, a fire suppressing unit 105 comprising a tank 105(a) stored with the fire suppressant, a trigger operatively coupled with the fire supressing unit 105, to release the fire suppressant, a mobile foam dispenser 201 to dispense a fire-suppressant foam to supress the fire, a transmitter unit 106 provided with the enclosure 101 communicating with the mobile foam dispenser 201 to cause the foam dispenser 201 to travel to the detected fire and douse the fire and a sealing element applied at each edge of the enclosure 101, to seal the enclosure 101 to prevent spread of the fire."
