MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006590 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'electrician work assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rinkesh Mittal; Dr. Pradeep Gaur; Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Sukhnik Singh; Prabhdeep Singh; Aditya Kumar Sharma; and Sandeep Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrician work assistive device, comprising two elongated members 1 attached with a C-shaped plate 2 and adhered with pole by two suction cups 3, a microphone 5 accessed by a user to give voice commands for securing ladder with pole, a camera 4 mounted on one members 1 for detecting dimensions of pole, a motorized sliders 6 configured between members 1 and plate 2 which translates plate 2 in synchronization with rotation of members 1 by a motorized ball and socket joint 7 to position member 1 in contact with pole, a current sensor positioned on plate 2 detects current in pole, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated links 9 extend and position a curved shaped unit 8 in contact with pole and pushing ladder slightly away from pole, in view of preventing any chances of electric shock to user."
