MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521124682 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Maharashtra, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'electro-vibrational stimulation (evs) device for pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation.'
Inventor(s) include Rohini Rakshak; Santosh Radhakrishna Bodakhe; Sushant Sharma; Rohit Vikas Sagvekar; and Rohit Srivastava.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments herein provide an EVS device (100) for pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation. The EVS device (100) includes an EVS controller (102) and a patch portion (104) connected to the EVS controller (102) using an electrical wire (106). The patch portion (104) is configured to be placed onto a perineum region of a user. The EVS controller includes a switch (102E) for activation/deactivation of the EVS device (100). Further, the EVS controller (102) includes a PCB (104E) connected to the switch (102E) and a vibratory motor (104D). The PCB (104E) initiates a pre-set stimulation configuration including a plurality of stimulation cycles upon activation of the EVS device. Each stimulation cycle includes a first time duration of vibrational stimulation delivered to the perineum region using the vibratory motor (104D), and a second time duration of electrical stimulations delivered to the perineum region after the first time duration."
