MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311085142 A) filed by Shatrudhan Palsaniya, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Dec. 13, 2023, for 'electrochemical sensor for antibiotic amoxicillin sensing in water resources.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrochemical sensor system for the detection of amoxicillin in water resources is disclosed herein. The PANI-AgBr/SPE sensor, according to the embodiments herein, comprise a flexible screen printed electrode (SPE) modified with silver bromide - doped polyaniline composites (PANI-AgBr). The embodiments herein also disclose a method for the fabrication of PANI-AgBr nanocomposites and a method for the fabrication of PANI- AgBr/SPE sensor. The PANI-AgBr/SPE sensor, according to the embodiments herein is portable, non-enzymatic, label-free, amperometry sensor capable of on-site amoxicillin detection in raw water samples. The sensor also exhibits excellent selectivity, repeatability, and stability in a wide detection range of 1 - 500 ppb."
