MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043873 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France, Courbevoie, France, on May 6, for 'electrochromic glazing.'
Inventor(s) include Penillard, Anne; Nael, Pascal; Chemin, Nicolas; Guimard, Denis; and Patissier, Amaury.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a material comprising a substrate coated with a first conductive coating comprising, starting from the substrate: - a first dielectric coating; - a silver-based metal functional functional layer; - a blocking layer located above and immediately in contact with a silver-based metal functional layer, said blocking layer being chosen from metal layers of one or more elements chosen from nickel and chromium such as Ni, Cr, NiCr, and metal nitride layers of one or more elements chosen from titanium, nickel and chromium such as NiN, CrN, NiCrN, TiN; - a second dielectric coating comprising at least one conductive oxide layer, the sum of the thicknesses of the conductive oxide layers of said second dielectric coating being greater than 40 nm."
