MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617008158 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Jan. 28, for 'electrode current collector, lithium secondary battery comprising same, battery module, and battery pack.'
Inventor(s) include Kang, Gyung Soo; Park, Min Soo; and Yu, Hyung Kyun.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrode current collector according to the present invention comprises: a polymer resin layer: a first metal layer disposed on one surface of the polymer resin layer; and a second metal layer disposed on the other surface of the polymer resin layer, wherein the first metal layer and the second metal layer include a shape memory alloy (SMA), and the SMA is designed to apply an external force to the polymer resin layer through shape deformation if the SMA exceeds a specific temperature."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012445.
