MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517013702 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 18, for 'electrolyte for lithium-sulfur battery and lithium-sulfur battery including same.'

Inventor(s) include Kwack, Ho-Beom; Lee, Chang-Hoon; and Han, Sueng-Hoon.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention pertains to an electrolyte for a lithium-sulfur battery, and a lithium-sulfur battery including same. The electrolyte for a lithium-sulfur battery includes a non-aqueous solvent, a lithium salt, a nitrate, and a trioxane. The non-aqueous solvent includes an ether-based solvent. The ether-based solvent includes cyclic ether and acyclic ether."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/019486.
