MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544020728 A) filed by Canon Kabushiki Kaisha, Tokyo, on March 7, for 'electronic apparatus and control method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic apparatus receiving, from a currently connected access point (AP), a change request of an AP serving as a connection destination, information specifying a plurality of recommended APs serving as candidates for the connection destination AP after a change made in response to the change request, and a set of parameters, including a preference value, pertaining to each of the plurality of recommended APs; changing the connection destination AP on the basis of the change request received from the currently connected AP; and performing control to change an AP serving as the connection destination such that an AP, among the plurality of recommended APs, that is determined on the basis of a first condition regardless of the preference value received from the currently connected AP, becomes the connection destination AP after the change."
