MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414090577 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 21, 2024, for 'electronic device.'

Inventor(s) include Gwang-Bum Ko; and Hyungbae Kim.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device (1000a, 1000b) includes a display panel (DP) including a first area (AA1), a bending area (BA) at which the display panel (DP) is bent, a second area (AA2) overlapping the first area (AA1), first electrodes (210) arranged in a first direction (DR1) in the first area (AA1), second electrodes (220) arranged in a second direction (DR2) in the first area (AA1), and crossing the first electrodes (210), and third electrodes (230) in the first area (AA1), and overlapping with the first electrodes (210), and a circuit board (MFPC) coupled to the display panel (DP) at the second area (AA2), and including connection lines (230c) arranged in the first direction (DR1), and respectively electrically connected to the third electrodes (230), a metal lower sheet (LST) between the display panel (DP) and the circuit board (MFPC), a first magneticfield-shielding layer (MSL1) between the third electrodes (230) and the metal lower sheet (LST), and a second magnetic-field-shielding layer (MSL2, MSL2a) between the connection lines (230c) of the circuit board (MFPC) and the metal lower sheet (LST)."
