MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065554 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on July 9, for 'electronic device and method for obtaining narrowband random access signal.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "According to embodiments, a method performed by a device of a base station is provided. The method may comprise an operation of obtaining signals corresponding to multiple symbol groups of narrowband random access channel (NPRACH) transmission. The method may comprise an operation of determining inter-symbol correlation information for at least one symbol group among the multiple symbol groups. The method may comprise an operation of determining a frequency offset on the basis of the inter-symbol correlation information. The method may comprise an operation of obtaining a random access signal corresponding to the signals on the basis of the frequency offset. Symbols in a predetermined symbol group among the multiple symbol groups may correspond to the same subcarrier."
