MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441015999 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on March 6, 2024, for 'electronic device and methods for selecting accurate images during high-resolution captures.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Electronic device and methods for selecting accurate images during high-resolution captures Embodiments disclosed herein relate to an electronic device (200) and methods (400, 500, 600, 700) for selecting accurate images during high-resolution (HR) captures. The electronic device (200) is configured for streaming the preview and capturing the image frames from multiple cameras, when the HR camera mode is selected. The electronic device (200) utilizes a first camera (802) for streaming the images in a preview mode at a lower resolution and saving the preview image frames in a preview buffer array. The electronic device (200) utilizes a second camera (804) for streaming the images in a capture mode at a higher resolution and saving the captured image frames in a capture buffer array. Further, the electronic device (200) and methods (400, 500, 600, 700) avoid preview freeze issue and delayed-frame-grab issue."
