MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517053975 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on June 4, for 'electronic device for setting plurality of projection areas, and control method therefor.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises: a memory in which a first image including a first location recognition pattern and a first color pattern is stored; a communication interface; a projection unit; and at least one processor connected to the memory, the communication interface and the projection unit so as to control the electronic device, wherein the processor can: control the projection unit such that a first image is projected, and control the communication interface such that a control signal, which controls that a second image including a second location recognition pattern and a second color pattern is projected, is transmitted to another electronic device; and, when a captured image acquired by photographing the area onto which the first image and the second image are projected is received from a user terminal device through the communication interface, acquire, on the basis of the first location recognition pattern and the second location recognition pattern, first information for changing a first projection area of the electronic device and/or a second projection area of the other electronic device and acquire, on the basis of the first color pattern and the second color pattern, second information for matching the projection colors of the electronic device and the other electronic device."
