MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517039029 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 23, for 'electronic device which measures distance through communication circuit, and operating method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Cho, Namjun; Jo, Hyewon; and Na, Hyoseok.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a first antenna; a second antenna; a first signal generator; a second signal generator; and a processor operatively connected to the first signal generator and the second signal generator, wherein the processor may be configured to: transmit, through the first antenna, a first chirp signal generated through the first signal generator; generate a second chirp signal through the second signal generator by adding a specific offset to the first chirp signal; and filter out a first composite signal obtained by synthesizing a first reception signal with the second chirp signal, the first reception signal being received through the second antenna. Various other embodiments can be possible."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/018381.
