MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547097756 A) filed by Givaudan Sa, Vernier, Switzerland, on Oct. 10, for 'encapsulated colorant.'
Inventor(s) include Mattingly, Theresa; Rountree, M. Kathleen; and Chouket, Raja.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to a method of improving the color stability of an oil soluble colorant in a consumable comprising adding to a consumable base an effective amount of an oil soluble colorant encapsulated with at least one of: a whey containing protein, a milk polysaccharide such as lactose and glycoprotein and/or a plant protein."
