MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102326 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'energy-efficient on-demand duty system for smart healthcare.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Nitin Bhardwaj; Tara Singla; Dr. Suresh Mani; and Dr. Neeta Raj Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An energy-efficient on-demand duty system for Smart Healthcare, comprises of a sensor node 101 with individually managed duty cycles for communication units and other components, an on-demand wake-up radio 102 configured to use low-power signals to activate sensor node 101 components only when required, an adaptive duty cycle management 103 for distinguishing between full-functional and reduced-functional entities states to optimize energy consumption, and a protocols 104 configured to regulate duty cycling based on current sensor node 101 activity and network conditions."
