MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065927 A) filed by Evonik Oxeno Gmbh & Co. Kg, Marl, Germany, on July 10, for 'energy-efficient process for separating butenes from c4-hydrocarbon streams.'

The process according to the invention is characterized in that in the inlet region of at least one packed bed of the absorber there are packing elements of lower specific surface area than in the rest of the packed bed."
