MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075718 A) filed by Novartis Ag, Basel, Switzerland, on Aug. 8, for 'engineered ketoreductase polypeptides.'
Inventor(s) include Ye, Ning; Hardegger, Leo Albert; Hueber, Lukas Simon; Leemans Martin, Laura; Mann, Gregory; Peschke, Theo; Stanger, Frederic Valentin; Alvizo, Oscar; and Subramanian, Nandhitha.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides engineered ketoreductase enzymes having improved enzymatic activity including the ability of selectively reducing tert-butyl rel-(3aR,6aS)-5- oxohexahydrocyclopenta[c]pyrrole-2(1H)-carboxylate to tert-butyl rel-(3aR,5s,6aS)-5- hydroxyhexahydrocyclopenta[c]pyrrole-2(1H)-carboxylate. Also provided are polynucleotides encoding the engineered ketoreductase enzymes, host cells capable of expressing the engineered ketoreductase enzymes, and methods of using the engineered ketoreductase enzymes."
