MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517068678 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings, Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on July 18, for 'enhanced reverse direction in wlan.'

Inventor(s) include Lin, Zinan; Lou, Hanqing; and Yang, Rui.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method performed by a first station (STA) may compromise: receiving, from a second STA, a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU); transmitting, to the second STA, a first frame, including an enhanced CAS subfield, wherein the enhanced CAS subfield is set to request a reverse direction transmission; receiving, from the second STA, a second frame that indicates an acceptance of the reverse direction transmission; and transmitting, to the second STA, a third frame, the third frame including a reverse direction data transmission."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/015008.
