MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006944 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'entertainment-based dining device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vikesh Kahysp; and Sujal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An entertainment-based dining device comprises of a semi-circular body 1 developed to accommodate food to be consumed by a user, a microphone to give voice commands for placing the computing unit within the groove to watch entertainment videos while eating the food, a pair of motorized sliding units 2 for translating a plate 3 installed with the sliding units 2 to uncover the groove, a telescopically operated to extend for positioning the member 4 out from the groove, a camera 6 for detecting dimensions of the computing unit, a set of L-shaped telescopically operated units 7 via a multiple of motorized sliders 8, for translating the units 7 towards/away from each other, a pressure sensor for detecting pressure applied by the units 2 on the computing unit, and a sound sensor for detecting level of sound received from the computing unit."
