MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431023370 A) filed by Tata Steel Limited; and Centre For Nano And Soft Matter Sciences, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, on March 25, 2024, for 'exfoliation of graphene, a composition and a method of preparation.'

Inventor(s) include H S S Ramakrishna Matte; Vijaya Kumar Gangaiah; Amit Kumar Gupta; Kenneth Lobo; Rashmi Chandrabhan Shende; Chandrani Pramanik; and Mriganshu Guha.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method for exfoliation of graphene to obtain exfoliated graphene having improved quality. The disclosure further relates to a composition comprising oil and the exfoliated graphene, wherein the exfoliated graphene is completely dispersed in the oil without any dispersant. The disclosure also relates to a method of preparing the composition."
