MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414016863 A) filed by Gmin Co. Ltd., Incheon, Republic of Korea, on March 8, 2024, for 'exhaust fumes reduction device.'
Inventor(s) include Lim, Hwang Yong; Kim, Hyun Jong; Park, Seon Jeong; and Kang, Chang Hyuk.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An exhaust fumes reduction device according to one embodiment of the present invention is a device connected to an exhaust port of an internal combustion engine to smooth a discharge flow of exhaust gases to reduce exhaust fumes and includes a housing in which an inlet through which exhaust gases are introduced, an outlet through which the exhaust gases are discharged, and a discharge space in which the exhaust gases flow are formed and which is connected to the exhaust port, and a plurality of vanes connected to the housing and having a spiral shape so that the exhaust gases discharged through the discharge space may be discharged spirally, wherein the housing is formed with a cutout space to be deformed in shape to match the exhaust port and elastically deformed through the cutout space."
