MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547097388 A) filed by Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 9, for 'exhaust gas purification catalyst.'

Inventor(s) include Moriyama Naoki; Iwashina Katsuya; and Kuramochi Satoru.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The purpose of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst having excellent exhaust gas purification performance. Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst (1) comprising substrates (10), first catalyst layers (20) provided on the upstream side of the substrates (10), and second catalyst layers (30) provided on the downstream side of the substrates (10). The first catalyst layers (20) contain a noble metal element and a Ce-Zr-based complex oxide. The second catalyst layers (30) contain a noble metal element and Al2O3. The mass percentage content of Al in the first catalyst layers (20), expressed as Al2O3, is 12 mass% or less. The ratio of the mass percentage content of Al in the first catalyst layers (20), expressed as Al2O3, with respect to the mass percentage content of Al in the second catalyst layers (30), expressed as Al2O3, is 0-0.65."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 06, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008535.
