MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023505 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'eye-cosmetic application assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An eye-cosmetic application assistive device, comprising a curved extendable member 1 positioned over nose bridge of a user, a pair of curved frames connected with lateral sides of the member 1 a pair of curved frames connected with lateral sides of the member 1 to accommodate a liquid crystal lens 2 installed with apex portion of member 1 via a motorized ball and socket joint 3 to position the lens 2 over one of the frame as per requirement, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines dimensions of the nose bridge, a microphone 6 to receive voice command of user regrading positioning of the lens 2 in front of one of eye of the user along with angle at which the lens 2 is to be oriented, an electromagnetic strip 7 to get energized to attach the lens 2 with the a specific frame positioned in front of user-specified eye."
