MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013527 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'eyewear support device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. D Ramya Dorai.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An eyewear support device, comprising an elongated frame 1 accommodated around a neck portion of a user, a motorized clamp 2 attached with each end of the frame 1 affixing the frame 1 with eyeglasses, an imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 determining dimensions of the temples, plurality of motorized hinge joints 4 each installed between interconnected sections of the frame 1 extending/retracting the frame 1, a telescopic bar 5 installed with each of the clamp 2 supporting temples on earlobes portion of the user, a L-shaped telescopic rod 6 configured with the clamp 2 to position plurality of motorized links 7 equipped with fabric 8 attached with free end of the rod 6 to cover the sunglasses in order to protect from rain."
