MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421007068 A) filed by Mr. Nandkumar Sadashiv Vele; Prof. Dr. A. M. Badadhe; and Prof. Dr. J. A. Hole, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'fabrication and characterization of safety helmet with carbon fiber composite having inter-laminar nano fiber reinforcement using vartm process.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Nandkumar Sadashiv Vele; Prof. Dr. A. M. Badadhe; and Prof. Dr. J. A. Hole.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This innovation is based on the use of carbon-fiber"Helmetswused in sport and industries.: which is a beneficial replacement for traditional plastic and I polymermade Helmets. Due to very high resistance to impact, light weight ; and very hjghstiffness, carbon fiber will be the best alternative for upcoming days. Also an introduction of Nano-fiber to composites will lead to very high stiffness property to Helmets.
