MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441006256 A) filed by Mr. T. K. Visweswara Rao, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'falling film type heat exchanger for dual cooling or heating high density and viscous liquids.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. T. K. Visweswara Rao.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[0060] The invention provides a heat exchanger comprising an inlet (18) at the top for incoming liquid, an outlet (19) with a slope at the bottom to collect the outgoing liquid, multiple horizontal tubes that is extended within multiple calandria shells that is covered by multiple tube plates (7,8) followed by multi pass headers (3,4) on either sides, a plurality of fans (9) and open lowers (10) to create air circulation, a corrugated distribution tray (12) comprising longitudinal slit openings (13) to create a thin film to liquid, a distribution header (14) to collect incoming liquid from the inlet, and multiple vent chimneys (17) to release circulating air. The first cooling or heating effect is produced by heat transfer between the incoming thin film of liquid and the circulating water in the horizontal tubes (1) and the second cooling or heating effect is produced by heat transfer between the sliding liquid and the circulating air."
