MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547098481 A) filed by Nifco Inc., Kanagawa, Japan, on Oct. 13, for 'fastener and hinge structure having fastener.'

Inventor(s) include Naoi Hajime.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem] To provide a fastener having favorable workability during assembly. [Solution] A fastener 55 is coupled to both ends of a shaft 53 which is inserted into a base 9 and a rotating body 33 in a state where both ends of the shaft protrude. The fastener comprises: a base part 60 extending along the axial direction of the shaft; and a pair of engagement parts 61 provided at both ends of the base part and including mutually opposing first surfaces 63. Each of the pair of engagement parts has: a receiving hole 65 having a bottom section 69 recessed from the first surface and opposing an end of the shaft; a groove section 67 extending from the receiving hole to an edge section 71 of the engagement part and allowing passage of the end of the shaft; and a locking part 77 provided in the groove section and locking the shaft."
