MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537078480 A) filed by Ask Chemicals Gmbh, Hilden, Germany, on Aug. 19, for 'feeder having a cover.'
Inventor(s) include Friederici, Marcus; Skerdi, Udo; Voigt, Ulrich; Fischer, Stefan; and Ortiz, Imanol.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a feeder comprising a feeder body having a through-opening for the liquid metal and a cover. The cover closes the feeder body opposite the through-opening, such that the feeder body and the cover define the feeder cavity. The cover is made of metal and/or plastics material and has, on the side facing the feeder cavity, a guide for a nozzle-type element or receiving means for functional elements which can be selectively connected to the cover, such as a guide for the nozzle-type element, a Williams core and/or a finger for a metallurgical additive or made thereof. Moreover, the present invention relates to the use of the feeder for metal casting, in particular in casting molds which can be split vertically."
