The film forming composition comprises film forming agent or film former, solvent, and optionally other excipient such as emollient, plasticizer, humectant, permeation enhancer. The spray apparatus comprises a container, a pump dispenser, a dip tube, a metering valve and / or continuous spray valve, and an actuator. In the present invention, administration of the film forming spray comprises topically applying the pharmaceutical composition to an affected area of a patient thereafter spraying the film-forming composition over the topically administered pharmaceutical composition that forms a thin transparent occlusive film layer."
