MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611007785 A) filed by Indian Council Of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, on Jan. 27, for 'filter material and a process for its preparation.'

Inventor(s) include Jawahar, Laly Sundarambal; and Kamalamma, Binsi Puthanpurakkalkizhakkethil.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a filter material and a process for its preparation. The filter material of the present disclosure is efficiently used to remove the heavy metals from water and is reusable. The filter material of the present disclosure is stable, cost-effective, and environment friendly. The filter material of the present disclosure uses raw materials that are easily available.
