MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341002045 A) filed by Ordnance Factory Medak, Yeddumailaram, Telangana, on Jan. 10, 2023, for 'fixture for ballistic testing of armour plates.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to fixture for ballistic testing of armour plates. The present invention provides firing stand assembly (100) comprising base plate assembly (1) and angle plate assembly (2). Firing stand assembly (100) is the fixture in which the armor plate (7) has to be placed and fired. Base plate assembly (1) is the bottom structure made heavy to withstand the load. Angle plate assembly (2) is the top structure placed in certain angle on which the armor plates (7) are placed and rigidly clamped using clamps (4). The firing stand assembly (100) is placed in a rigid position. The armor plates which are to be tested can be rigidly clamped. The armor plates can be placed at desired angle 32 to 38. Apart from armor bottom plates, other armor plates of specified size can be clamped. Different contours and shapes can also be mounted on fixture."
