MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003994 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'flag hoisting device.'
Inventor(s) include Shubham Soni.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A flag hoisting device, comprising a platform 1 configured with suction cups 2 positioned on a fixed surface where a flag is to be hoisted and installed with a V-shaped member 3 constructed with a set of elongated bars 4, a flag post attached with a transparent sheet 5, a touch enabled screen 6 for enabling user to select country/sports club whose flag is to be hoisted, a holographic projection unit 7 for projecting fetched flag on sheet 5, a first motorized hinge 8 synchronized with a second motorized hinge 9 configured between one of bars 4 and platform 1 for providing appropriate bi-directional motion to bars 4, a camera 10 mounted on platform 1 for capturing multiple images of sheet 5, a motorized slider 11 for translating projection unit 7 and a motorized pivot for rotating flaps 12 to protect sheet 5 and projection unit 7 from rain."
