MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084022 A) filed by Chairman, Defence Research & Development Organisation, New Delhi, on Dec. 9, 2023, for 'flexible radar reflecting fabric.'
Inventor(s) include Kumar, Verandra; Ram, Sheesh; Vasistha, Prashant; and Kumar, Ravindra.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a flexible radar reflective fabric. The radar reflective fabric (RRF) (100) comprising a first flexible fabric outer layer (101) on one side, a second flexible fabric outer layer (103) on the other side and a conducting metallic layer (102) sandwiched between the first flexible fabric outer layer (101) and the second flexible fabric outer layer (103). The developed radar reflective fabric (RRF) has reflecting properties equivalent to metallic surfaces and finds its application in inflatable decoys."
